About Sojo
Sojourner is my last name. It means traveler. Yes, it’s my real name. I only get one chance on this planet, so it always seemed like a pretty good title.
I moved to Atlanta (from Ohio), in 2006 after graduating college. I didn’t know anyone, had no money, no family living in the south, and no idea what may lie ahead; but I did have a beautiful question that I was consumed by: Exactly how much more could I get out of life and love by living wisely? Little did I know this question would lead me to riches beyond any monetary value!
Let me fast forward and try to explain the number one question I hear today. “You’re a speaker, consultant, writer, and creative director! How did you do it?!”
It started with some friends, years ago, sharing a puzzle they were stuck on with me at a lunch, here and there. The puzzles were always to help others performance and productivity.
I then would go home, process, do some work, and then return to share my thoughts with those friends.
Those friends then asked me to share those thoughts on a stage for others.
Finally, those ‘others’ reached out and asked me to share even greater thoughts (requiring significantly more research) on more stages across numerous states, until boom… a few years short of two decades later and I’m speaking at over sixty events all over the world. Crazy, right?
Sharing everything as I go helps others Journey Well.
I write about the wondrous depths to life I’ve learned alongside the brilliant thinkers I met traveling around the globe. I live across the street from a movie studio lot to more efficiently explore the power of imagination, story, and technology. I share about the power of faith from my years working at Northpoint Ministries and continuously aiding organizations doing good across the world. I teach in arenas, schools, universities, and corporations not simply to share, but to quietly listen and study the thinkers of tomorrow, thereafter.
Why? Because everything is always greater than we imagined. Now that's a lot to think about, if you let yourself!
